Christmas Punch
Ingredients
- 2 cups chilled pomegranate juice
- 1 cup chilled cranberry juice
- 8 ounces (1 cup) vodka
- 8 ounces (1 cup) Cointreau or other orange-flavored liqueur
- 1 cup chilled club soda
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (from 6 lemons)
- 1/2 cup Simple Syrup
Directions
- Combine pomegranate and cranberry juice, vodka, Cointreau, club soda, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a punch bowl. Fill glasses with cranberries frozen in ice cubes, and serve. Garnish with lemon slices if desired.

Mass media has given recent attention to the appalling photos of Donald Trump’s sons on safari in Zimbabwe where they hunted and mercilessly killed numerous animals including an elephant, leopard, crocodile, kudu, civet cat and waterbuck. In this gruesome image, the boys smile for the camera holding a dead leopard. Don’t they know that leopards are endangered? Another photo shows them next to a crocodile that they hung from a tree by its neck, while in another they hold an elephant’s tail that they severed off. In response to the claim that elephants were shrinking in population, Donald Trump Jr. said on Twitter, “in some parts its overpopulated. Bottom line with out hunters $ there wouldn’t be much left of Africa. Eco is nice but no $.”
Above Live is outraged by the apparent disregard for animal life and we hope to inspire change through social awareness.
