RIP Donna Summer Disco Queen! Your music will always be remembered! “American soul-disco singer Donna Summer arrives at Heathrow Airport for a three day visit to London. Her latest record “Love To Love You Baby” was banned by the BBC. Photo: Getty Images / SL”
I haven’t been into Halloween costumes in a long time. Maybe it’s because I’m nostalgic for the costumes I wore from the Disney catalog and Storybook Heirlooms as a child and can’t find anything that quite compares. Additionally, whenever I do something, I have to try it a different way than everyone else does, so buying a costume right off the rack just never sits right with me. However, I was inspired by this slideshow on style.com and especially, the disco queen attire above.
If I was willing to spend the money on my costume, I’d love to try this Halston Heritage lamé gown. It would be perfect to go for the look of a Disco Queen or even to pair with some fantastic bangles and a headdress for a 70’s spin on Cleopatra. Can’t you see it?
Bianca Jagger was the queen of 70’s assymetrical chic.
However, I think I am absolutely loving the idea of the disco look. I would adore going as Donna Summer. I love her style and she always looked gorgeous!
The flower in her hair is just like the fresh fleurs the models are wearing in the Marc Jacobs show. So glamorous!
